On 7, June, 2026, the Fa Yi Chong De Australian Tao Centre held a Filial Piety Festival event at Auburn Town Hall, themed around promoting traditional Chinese filial piety. Thanks to the grace of Heaven and the virtues of the Masters, the compassion of the Transmission Masters, the active participation of various temple members, and the dedication of the volunteers, the event was a complete success. The Tao Centre hopes to use this opportunity to awaken the original aspirations of every Tao practitioner, cultivating oneself through filial piety, managing one's family through Tao, passing on virtue through family traditions, and helping others through kindness, so that one person's cultivation benefits the whole family; one person's good deeds bring blessings to the whole family. This gratitude event was not just a performance, but a grand gathering for cultivating one's character, passing on family traditions, and awakening kinship.

The event kicked off with a youth group leading a dance to "Good Fortune" and a short film titled "Chopsticks."

Master Hua Xiaobo compassionately encourages: Cultivation has direction, and growth has a guiding light. Every step forward we take, every activity we hold, is inseparable from the blessings of Heavenly Grace and the virtues of holy teachers, from the venerable predecessors, from the compassion of Senior Master Hong, and from the encouragement of all the masters. Filial piety is the fastest way to eliminate negative karma, and gratitude is the greatest path to accumulate blessings. The Filial Piety Festival activities officially begin.

Fa Yi Chong De has been deeply involved in the culture of filial piety for many years, and has received high recognition and strong support from all sectors of society.
We are honoured to have Mr. Cai Dingjie, Mayor of Strathfield, grace us with his presence and deliver a speech to offer his blessings for this event. Mayor Cai is the first Chinese mayor from Fuqing in Australian politics. He has been deeply involved in community service for many years, has long been concerned about the development of the Chinese community, and actively promotes multicultural integration. He is the pride of us Chinese and a role model of community warmth!

The Tao Centre also invited Leo Wei, Chairman of the Australian Chinese Elite Association (ACYEC), Justice of the Peace, and Vice Chairman of the Castle Hill Lions Club. He has long been actively involved in community and charitable affairs, and is committed to promoting community development and building family values.

Filial piety should be kept in the heart, and love should be expressed boldly. Filial piety is not just something to keep silently in one's heart, but something to be bravely expressed and sincerely revealed. The energetic Xinmin Class family led a dance to "Mom, I Love You".

The members of the Xinghong Xinmin Zhishan Class presented a heartfelt chorus of "Mother," paying tribute to the greatest maternal love.

Filial piety brings blessings; harmony in the family fosters spiritual progress. Treating mothers well and being grateful to parents is our simplest and most precious form of spiritual practice. The Hongde Xinmin Zhishan family presents the heartwarming dance "Mother's Kiss," allowing us to relive the warmth of childhood and express gratitude for our mothers' love.

In this world, the longest wait is that of parents. We are busy and bustling outside, often neglecting our parents who are silently waiting at home. Several senior members present a heartwarming skit, "Waiting for You to Come Home," which portrays the most simple and touching concern of parents everywhere.

The event also included a lively and touching parent-child interactive recognition session, allowing the families in attendance to personally experience the strong bond of blood and family affection.

Though the Tao is vast, filial piety reaches to the heavens and earth; though the heavens are immense, a mother's love is pure and flawless. The families of the Xingde Class sang "The Greatness of Heaven" with deep emotion, expressing their heartfelt gratitude to their parents.

Those who know how to be grateful to their parents and be filial to their parents are bound to have gentle hearts. Upholding filial piety is upholding the Tao.
The world is gentle and beautiful because there is love in humanity, warmth in families, kindness in people's hearts, and filial piety in the world. Filial piety illuminates families, virtue warms the world, and the great way nourishes people's hearts. The English class family members led a grand chorus of "What a Wonderful World," using song to convey kindness, warmth, and the great love of the community.

If maternal love is gentle and delicate, then paternal love is as deep as a mountain and as silent as the sea. Fathers are not talkative, but they silently shouldered the burden of the whole family; they did not express themselves often, but they devoted their whole life to protecting us. We often appreciate our mothers' gentleness, but we often overlook our fathers' hard work. The Xinmin Class family presented a heartwarming chorus of "Father," and together we paid tribute to every father who silently gives and protects their family.

Our parents sacrificed their youth for our growth. As they age, it is the best time for us to show our filial piety and repay their kindness. The Zhishan Class family gently sang "When You Are Old," reminding us to fulfill our filial duties and cherish our time together.

The temple often says: Filial piety cannot wait, and spiritual practice cannot be delayed. Cherishing the present moment and practicing filial piety daily is the most grounded and fulfilling spiritual practice. The debt of gratitude owed to one's parents can never be fully repaid in a lifetime. The kindness of parents in giving birth to and raising their children is heavier than Mount Tai and deeper than the ocean. The Chongde Class presents the devout dance "Ten Kneels to Parents," paying tribute to parents through dance and expressing heartfelt gratitude for their profound kindness.

Filial piety is not a slogan, but a daily practice; it is not a fleeting impulse, but a lifelong commitment.
The Peide Class family members brought a positive and uplifting chorus of "Filial Piety to Parents," using song to reaffirm their initial aspirations and put them into practice.

To thank every family member for attending and being there, the event featured multiple rounds of heartwarming lucky draws, allowing everyone to receive expressions of filial piety and take home a wealth of blessings!

The entire event was filled with filial piety, warmth, and Tao spirit. Every program and every interaction was a purification of the heart and an awakening of one's original aspirations.

At the end of the event, Master Shi compassionately taught: Be filial to your parents at home, cultivate yourself and do good deeds outside, frequently visit the temple, always uphold the Tao, always cultivate virtue, and always help those with affinity, so as not to fail your teacher's cultivation, the grace of the Great Tao, or the deep kindness of your parents.

Fa Yi Chong De Australian Tao Centre expresses its gratitude to all the Divination Masters for their compassionate support, to all the family members behind the scenes for their selfless dedication, and to all the family members present for their sincere companionship!
May all parents in the world enjoy long life, peace, joy, and good health!
May all Taoist families enjoy harmony, happiness, and cultivate good relationships!
