This year's Mother's Day is on May 11th. To express gratitude to our mothers who gave us our spirituality and gave us our bodies, the Shui de Buddhist Temple and Chengde Buddhist Temple jointly held a vegetarian peace meal at the Fairfield Taoist Centre.

Under the Buddha's light, the Taoists who participated in the event chanted sutras for their mothers, offered flowers, and placed blessing cards in front of the Buddha.

The love of a mother in this world is great, because the sacrifice of a mother for her child is selfless, and unconcerned about gains and losses. Therefore, children should always be grateful to their mothers. And the love of heavenly mater for all people in the world is indiscriminate, infinitely compassionate, and ever-influencing. Taoism says that "all things return to their roots", and returning to the roots and recognizing the mother is the destination of all living beings. I hope that those who are predestined can come to the temple to seek the Tao as soon as possible, find the way home, and return to the embrace of the heavenly mater. Those who have already sought the Tao should often return to the temple to offer incense and kowtow, feel the compassion of the heavenly mater and buddhas, and thank the heavenly grace and masters.
