On August 23, 2026 (the 11th day of the 7th lunar month), the Fa Yi Chong De Australian Sydney Taoist Centre successfully held a Ghost Festival (Zhongyuan Pudu) ceremony and Peace feast at the Hui De Buddhist temple.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 15th day of the seventh lunar month is the traditional Chinese festival of Zhongyuan Festival, commonly known as the \"Ghost Festival.\" This day combines the cultural connotations of Confucian filial piety and ancestor worship, Taoist earth god's pardon for sins, and the Buddhist Ullambana Festival. Its core is to remember ancestors, express gratitude to parents, and provide salvation for wandering souls. It is an important festival for Chinese people to express their respect and remembrance for deceased parents and relatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
